I have been playing around with the Phone, assembling- disassembling back and forth..
Some ideas for easier assembly:
- Battery.. the thin wires tend to break if not fully engaged inside the connector
Soldering the tips makes it even easier to snap off, because pushing the wires into the connector is very difficult
Solution: just pull of the cap straight up of the connector, and you can insert the wire ends from the top, assuring they are locked.
- Cam gear Assembly, I put a small black dot on the correct side to align the gear with the switch
with a piece of small tape I hold the spring of the switch back, so it is easier to align with the holes to assemble
- Bell Mallet..for me impossible to slide the steel spring into the 2 piece spacer..?!
I carefully cut the gap a little deeper and glued the spring half into the upper part
Now you can put this "assembly" between the lower spacer and the upper circuit board, align the hole , insert the screw and
wiggle the spacer in place.
- I have fixed the small display with UV glue instead of RTV adhesive, easy..
