Re: Are RUSP still being made?
@ imyxh , may I suggest that there is some sort of FAQ for normal routine like the change of an address or other such pre-shipping procedure. I am an option B and I too have reached out in the past few months with a change of address request since moving countries but have had no reply from the tea...

Re: RUSP Hot-Spot
01B should be a direct replacement, yes.

Re: Build complete but
Hey, so sorry for the delay on this. I haven't seen this issue before. Could you show us the contents of ".../Documents/Arduino/hardware/MegaCore-master/avr/avrdude.conf"? You can upload it to e.g. https://paste.rs/web so I can take a look.

Re: Build mostly successful...
Hey, congrats on the build! Sorry about the solder joint and epaper. We can send you a replacement for both that and the OLED if needed. Unable to place calls or send SMS (might be waiting on a US Mobile plan change, will try again later today), ATD... returns " NO CARRIER". AT+FCLASS=? re...

Re: Build complete but
I think you have a phone with Justine's old firmware preloaded. It might help to first flash our new rewrite of the firmware. The instructions are here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2P ... orLRnM/pub

Re: August 10, 2024 Blog post - questions
Also, the FCC approval process is actually moot as far as we know. In our testing so far the phones have worked on US networks.

Re: Atmega cpu
I'm not a huge fan of the atmegas in general just because they're kind of expensive for not a lot of functionality. ESP32 or RP2040 would've worked just fine, but I think Justine wanted to copy what Arduino was doing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Whatever, it works

Re: August 10, 2024 Blog post - questions
Frankly option B is in a bad spot right now because we literally just don't have the labor power to be assembling phones, and I don't see that changing in the foreseeable future. We're already doing production, QA, customer service, etc. slow enough as it is. The parts issue is something we can craw...

Re: RUSP Hot-Spot
Technically the "01B" version of the LARA actually supports Ethernet over USB. Right now the USB data lines are exposed over I-PEX (J16) so you could imagine a little mod that exposed those to a separate USB connector somehow. Or just forwarded data from them on the main USB connector. Unf...
